Photo Contest Theme - "The scenery of Gifu that you want to convey"

Photo contest prize-winning work
<Commentary by judge (photographer Tadayasu Ozawa)>
We are pleased that the number of applications has increased compared to the previous year, including applications from junior high schools in the city.
This time, among the excellent works lined up, not only the good composition and colors, but also the works with the "emotion" that contains the story and thoughts, as the theme is "scenery", ranked high.
When you take photos as a proof of your travels and actions, I think that the photos will become better by thinking about how to put your feelings into them.
As for the characteristics of the lenses, if you can make use of the "emotions" of each lens in your work, you will be able to master the use of the lenses.

Grand Prix
"Golden Cityscape"
Akihito NiwaLocation: Mt. Kinka Driveway Observatory Judge's Comment: I think Gifu City has a particularly interesting topography with mountains in the city.
This work has a well-balanced composition of a wedge-shaped town that goes into the mountains, and has a screen composition that is as interesting as it appears in a sci-fi movie. I think the emotion of the wide lens matched.
Semi-Grand Prix
"Ukai watching of Gifu Nagara River from the castle tower"
Hiroaki OkabeShooting location: Gifu Castle Main Tower Judge's Comment: The shot is taken from the top of Gifu Castle's main tower, so it looks like a child's boat model lined up. I have seen many works of cormorant fishing so far, but I felt a new sensibility in the work with a novel composition that I have never seen before.
"Gifu Castle in Snow"
Koji FukudaShooting location: Takanosu summit Judge's comment: Mt. Kinka is photographed over the rocky area like ink painting, which is characteristic of Mt. Kinka, and the middle part of Mt. It looks like an interesting picture. There was also a molding power, and it became a bright and good photo.
