<General comments by judge (photographer Tadayasu Ozawa)>

Overall, the quality was high and there were many interesting works. In particular, the newly launched Instagram category had many masterpieces.
I would like everyone to photograph what they like and what they find interesting, rather than thinking, "If I do it this way, I'm sure I'll get good reviews." As the saying goes, "If you love something, you'll become good at it," so if you photograph something that you "love," you'll end up with a powerful, beautiful photo.
Of course, imitating skilled artists is good practice. However, when it comes to presenting your work, it will be more powerful if you submit it with a "This is what I came up with!" or "What do you think of this idea?" We look forward to receiving a piece that captures what you "like."

Grand Prix

Spectacular views above the clouds/Yuta Nakamura

"A magnificent view above the clouds"
Yuta Nakamura

Location: Momogamimine Review: This photo shows Mt. Kinka and Gifu Castle rising above the sea of clouds, illuminated by the morning sun. The pale milky white color is beautiful, and I think it is a color that can be used anywhere in the world.
This photo was taken from Mt. Momogami on a snowy day, and I think it was a perfect time to take the photo. The beauty of photography is that it allows us to see the beauty that only those who were there at the time can see.

Semi-Grand Prix

In the midst of sparks/Okabe Zenichi

"Amid the Sparks"
Okabe City

Location: Tejikarao Shrine Review: This photo was taken at the fire festival at Tejikarao Shrine. The blurred subject gives the photo a sense of realism. It is good that it captures an "event" rather than an "object," and because it is a "shot in the middle" rather than a decisive moment, the movements of the people in the photo are conveyed powerfully.
