"World Event Village Gifu" is a hall, conference hall, sports facilities (stadium, baseball field), etc. built in an area of about 30 hectares along the banks of the Nagara River, overlooking Gifu's symbolic Mt. Support and grants for conventions and events
If you are staying with 20 or more people (including 10 or more foreigners from overseas) at a Gifu Convention and Visitors Bureau supporting member accommodation facility and holding a conference, training session, or convention at the "World Event Village Gifu" facility, you can receive support services from the following support program .
If you hold a conference, training session, or convention at one of the facilities of "World Event Village Gifu," we will subsidize up to 50,000 yen (actual cost) for travel expenses using public transportation between Gifu Station and the facility (equivalent to a one-day bus pass for the city's flat-rate zone). Please note that this applies to cases where a total of 20 or more people use the service during the event period and the day before and the day after.
3 Special support for companies and organizations from overseas
For companies and organizations from overseas with 10 or more foreign guests, we will provide support in the following areas: ①and ② .
① English explanation of cormorant fishing by a cormorant fisher
During the period of "Gifu Nagara River Cormorant Fishing" (May 11th to October 15th), after boarding the viewing boat, outside the period, the Imperial Household Agency ceremony An English explanation of cormorant fishing (approximately 20 minutes) will be provided by the cormorant fisherman.
② Dispatch of interpreter volunteers
We will dispatch two interpreter volunteers for every 10 participants from overseas, up to a total of 10 volunteers. However, the interpretation will be mainly in English, and the scope of activities will be limited to the venues of the World Event Village Gifu, Gifu Park, Gifu Castle, and shopping in the city.
Subsidies for shuttle buses, cormorant fishing viewing boats, and chartered sightseeing buses (Transition to a newly established subsidy system)
*The previous support programs, "Shuttle Bus Subsidies," "Cormorant Fishing Viewing Boat Subsidies," and "Chartered Sightseeing Bus Subsidies," have been transferred to the Gifu Convention and Visitors Bureau's new systems, "Shuttle Bus Operation Subsidies" and "Excursion Utilization Promotion Subsidies," starting in fiscal year 2026. Both subsidy programs can be applied for in conjunction with the "World Event Village Gifu Support Program."
