The temple is also famous for its enkianthus perulatus, and about 1,200 enkianthus trees are planted in the gardens and on the mountain behind the temple grounds, some of which are over 350 years old. In spring, small white flowers bloom all over, and in autumn, the crimson leaves are spectacular. The garden is open to the public every spring and autumn, and you can enjoy the cedar moss and the Dodan garden.
